Canon EOS recognizes that a passion for photography exists in every corner of every country. We are eager to share your passion – be it for Portrait, Landscape, Sport, or Macro photography.
You can submit your best work in any of these categories by uploading them onto this website from March 17th 2008.
Our expert panel of judges, headed by award-winning photographer Vicki Couchman, will select the best-in-category for each country.

The basic rules of the competition are as follows:
You must be aged 18 or over at the time of registration and must not be a professional photographer.
1. In order to be eligible to take part in The Assignment, you must be able to fly and have a passport and all necessary documents available.
2. Each User may perform only one registration or entry in only one category and only for your country of residence.
3. You must select which Category to compete in.
4. All entries must be uploaded in JPEG format.
5. You can choose to compete nationally (only eligible to win Canon equipment) or internationally (also eligible to be selected to participate in the Assignment).
6. Persons affiliated with Canon, including but not limited to Canon staff and their family members and employees of companies providing marketing, PR or communication services to Canon, are not permitted to enter the Competition. Any entry submitted by such
